Flora Europaea perennial, H, 2n=16, diploid xeric to mesoxeric steppe and forest-steppe species which on sunny steep clines can go up to the  lower nemoral belt Eurasian Festucetalia valesiacae, Stipio pulcherrimae-Festucetalia pallentis, Corynephoretalia R34, sometimes R64 habitats       A tiny and characteristic steppe grassland species which is not so common but rather regionally located, especially in Transylvania.
